Winter knocking at the door

Clocks were set back an hour from last sunday (25th Oct). In th e morning we get more sunlight and evening seems to arrive quite soon everyday. For people like me it seems as if sunlight forces us to wake early then the usual lazy late hours. Since last two days it has been quite sunny and I just dread the arrival of the gloomy foggy days and missing this brightness for few months. But this is how it is. And I love winters too, so just hope that this winter brings also it's share of sunshine along.
Week before diwali was quite nice with couple of friends along and celebrating it with the available diyas and candles (though missed the fireworks).
Here are a couple of pictures from this diwali:

Arrival of Autumn

Every morning you find trees with new colors and more n more leaves on the ground. The fall colors are gradually showing their full beauty and charm. At times the surrounding mountains/hills are totally covered with fog and you get a nice sense of feel of a fresh air along with the sound of tinkling of cow-bells. And some of the days are really lovely and sunny, which kind of forces the people to move out of their doors and enjoy the last few bright days and warmth of sun till they have to wait again for the next six months. Definitely winter has it's own charm but this beauty n comfort is unmatchable (specially if you think of moving out early morning for the daily activities in snow). Then there are also some days like today when it rains and rains and makes the weather gloomy for a lot of people except people like me who love when it rains and find it absolutely romantic. I enjoy sipping my morning cup of tea with the view of cloud covered mountains and a nice gently sound of rain tapping the green grounds. Hereafter we will perhaps just wait to see this greenery when everything will be just white. But I hope the coming winter is pleasant too and cools the mind of people along with bringing warmth n love in their life. Atleast I have kept my fingers crossed for a lot of warmth in my life.

Home Alone

Home is the place where you find peace even in solitude. The joy of being in your own space equals nothing. You find yourself safest under your roof. But then even these roofs and walls are used to the presence of all the members. This year so far there have been lot of nice companies here. Presence of our parents and their absence after a couple of months have been bringing changes in the atmosphere. All of a sudden you get used to the presence of too dear ones but they move back to their own shelters. And back here stay just the two of us. Though we are not together during the daytime in the working days, evening brings always the pleasure of being together, loving n fighting n sharing all the troubles and joy. But now when I am alone in my small nest for some days (as Vinay is in India for a business trip) I feel myself totally alone. Same house brings fear in darkness and every noise in the building alerts you. He is still around and available for all my blabberings over phone but you feel the distance. Even a small problem around troubles me like hell.I also have a couple of sweet friends around who are always there for me in case of any need. But I am waiting for him to be back soon n this is perhaps something good in getting far for some days. I look forward to be together with him and home will be a safe haven again.
